On March 30, the opening ceremony and interdisciplinary seminar of Zhejiang University – University of Luxembourg Joint Lab of Advanced Intelligent Systems and Reasoning (ZLAIRE) were successfully held in Zijingang Campus, Zhejiang University. 14 experts and professors from various schools and institutions of the university are gathered. They came to share the latest research results on interdisciplinary topics, explore the possibilities of mutual cooperation and make future development plan for ZLAIRE.
3月30日，浙江大学-卢森堡大学高等智能系统与推理联合实验室（ZLAIRE）浙大基地启用仪式暨交叉学科研讨会在浙江大学紫金港校区成功举办。来自校内各院系、研究机构的14位专家教授齐聚新启用的ZLAIRE基地，围绕学科交叉相关主题分享最新研究成果，探索交叉合作的路径，共同谋划实验室的未来发展。
The opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. Beishui Liao who is from the School of Philosophy of Zhejiang University and in charge of ZLAIRE. Prof. Shuiguang Deng, vice president of the Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Hengwei Li, Secretary of the Party committee of the School of Philosophy, and Prof. Jun Wang, executive vice president of the School of Philosophy, presented their speeches respectively. Prof. Shuiguang Deng warmly congratulated the opening of ZLAIRE site, praised the preparation and internationalization of the lab, fully confirmed ZLAIRE as an important attempt and exploration on the liberal arts paradigm transformation of the university, and put forward the expectations for the future of the lab: to move ahead, to explore the experiences, and to provide advice for the construction of other humanities and social science laboratories of Zhejiang University. Prof. Hengwei Li pointed out that the School of Philosophy is a “small and concentrated” school and ZLAIRE is supposed to establish the connections with the industry, breed high-quality projects and promote the innovation and entrepreneurship development for the school. Prof. Jun Wang said that ZLAIRE is the fruits obtained from years of efforts of Prof. Beishui Liao and his team, reflecting two features of the School of Philosophy: interdisciplinary research and internationalization.
启用仪式由ZLAIRE实验室负责人、浙江大学哲学学院廖备水教授主持，浙江大学社会科学研究院副院长邓水光教授、浙江大学哲学学院党委书记李恒威教授与常务副院长王俊教授先后致辞。邓水光副院长热烈祝贺实验室基地的启用，对实验室的筹备规格和国际化程度表示称赞，对实验室作为学校文科范式转型的重要尝试和探索予以充分肯定，并对实验室的未来提出期望：积极进取，探索经验，为浙大的人文社科实验室建设出谋划策。李恒威书记指出，哲学学院是“小而精”的学院，ZLAIRE实验室在科研和育人的同时，还应积极与业界对接，持续孵化高质量项目，推动学院的创新创业发展。王俊副院长称实验室是廖备水教授团队多年努力的平台化结果，体现了浙大哲学系的两个面向：交叉研究和国际化。
The theme for the first stage is “from consciousness theory to a new generation of artificial intelligence”. Prof. Fei Wu of the School of Computer Science made a report entitled “interdisciplinary research driven by computing”, which showed the artificial intelligence computing paradigm of “emerging data + domain knowledge + physical laws”, and summarized the interdisciplinary research into four key points : problem, talent, management and policy. Prof. Hengwei Li of the School of Philosophy, entitled “antagonistic cooperation: testing contemporary consciousness theory”, introduced the historical path of consciousness research and contemporary consciousness research based on antagonistic cooperation. Research Fellow Dr. Bin Wei of Guanghua Law School explored the integration of symbolism and connectionism in legal artificial intelligence. Prof. Yong Liu of the School of Control, entitled “from model controller to human like perceptual controller”, introduced the role of reinforcement learning in the research of quadruped robot. Associate Professor Kun Kuang of the School of Computer Science introduced how to combine causal reasoning with big data.
第一场研讨会的主题是“从意识理论到新一代人工智能”。计算机学院吴飞教授作了题为“计算驱动下的学科交叉研究”的报告，展示了“涌现数据+领域知识+物理定律”的人工智能计算范式，将学科交叉总结为“问题、人才、管理、政策”四个要点。哲学学院李恒威教授的报告题为“对抗性合作：检验当代意识理论”，介绍了意识研究的历史路径和基于对抗性合作的当代意识研究。光华法学院魏斌研究员在报告中探索了法律人工智能中的符号主义与联结主义融合研究。控制学院刘勇教授的报告题为“从模型控制器到类人感知控制器”，介绍了强化学习在四足机器人研究中的作用。计算机学院况琨副教授介绍了如何将因果推理与大数据相结合。
The theme for the second stage is “From child psychology to brain computer hybrid intelligence”. Prof. Qinmei Xu of the School of Education explored the reasons for infants’ strong language learning ability. Associate Professor Yi Guo of the Academy of Art and Archaeology made a report entitled “Research on the living and career model of the ancestors of jilzankal cemetery in Xinjiang”, which showed the spread of ancient Chinese civilization. The report of Prof. Chunlei Chai of the School of Computer Science is entitled “intelligent and civilian design”. He pointed out that design is an analogy and the goal of intelligent design is the civilian design. Prof. Jianjun Chen of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics made a report entitled “preliminary practice and Thinking on participating in independent industrial software R & D”. Associate Professor Cihua Xu of the School of Philosophy reported the latest research progress of “Virtual Memory Palace”. Prof. Gangan Zheng of Qiushi Higher Research Institute introduced the research on brain computer hybrid intelligence of perceptual motion control.
第二场研讨会的主题是“从儿童心理学到脑机混合智能”。教育学院徐琴美教授探讨了婴儿强大语言学习能力的原因。艺术与考古学院郭怡副教授作了题为“新疆吉尔赞卡勒墓地先民生业模式研究”的报告，展示了古代中华文明的传播广度。计算机学院柴春雷教授的报告题为“设计的智能化与平民化”，他指出设计是一种类比，智能化设计的目标就是设计的平民化。航空航天学院陈建军教授作了题为“参与自主工业软件研发的初步实践与思考”的报告。哲学学院徐慈华副教授报告了“虚拟记忆宫殿”的最新研究进展。求是高等研究院郑能干教授介绍了感知运动控制的脑机混合智能研究。
The meeting represents that ZLAIRE site at Zhejiang University is initiated. In future, it will continue to promote interdisciplinary international cooperation, facilitate a high-quality international development of the school, link the interdisciplinary resources of the university and enhance the influence of Zhejiang University in the global frontier.
此次会议标志着ZLAIRE实验室浙大基地正式投入使用。未来，实验室将继续扎实推进交叉学科国际化合作，引领学院高质量国际化发展，联动全校跨学科优质资源，提升浙江大学在全球前沿领域影响力。
