ZLAIRE, the abbreviation of “Zhejiang University – University of Luxembourg Joint Lab on Advanced Intelligent Systems and REasoning”, is devoted to promote international collaborations in scientific research, teaching and outreach in Advanced Intelligent Systems and Reasoning, based in Zhejiang University and the University of Luxembourg respectively. The lab at ZJU was established in September 2021, as an interdisciplinary research institute granted by the Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences of Zhejiang University. In May 2022, the lab was selected into the first Cultivation Program of Philosophy and Social Sciences Laboratories of Zhejiang University (Class A). In December 2022, the lab was granted as a provincial international lab by Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province.
“浙江大学-卢森堡大学高等智能系统与推理联合实验室”（ZLAIRE）致力于推动高等智能系统与推理领域的科研、教学与国际合作。联合实验室分别设于浙江大学和卢森堡大学。 浙江大学ZLAIRE实验室成立于2021年9月，是经浙江大学社会科学研究院批准设立的校级交叉学科研究机构。2022年5月，实验室入选首批浙江大学哲学社会科学实验室培育计划项目（A类）。2022年12月，实验室被浙江省科学技术厅认定为省级国际联合实验室。

Our Mission
In a highly informational and AI-enabled society, humans are communicating and working with intelligent agents to generate knowledge, share information, do e-commerce, offer or obtain legal services, provide or receive health care, etc. However, the environment where humans and agents are situated is full of incomplete, uncertain and dynamic information, as well as numerous fake news and distortions. How to model various kinds of human reasoning under such environment and use the resulting theoretical models to build advanced intelligent systems? This is our mission.

在一个高度信息化和智能化的社会，人类与人工智能主体紧密联系在一起，以产生知识，共享信息，从事电子商务，进行法律服务，开展健康医疗，等等。然而，人类与人工智能主体所处的环境往往充斥着不完备的、不确定的和动态的信息，以及各种虚假的、扭曲的信息。针对该问题，本实验室旨在建立这种环境下的各种人类推理模型，并把它们应用于各种高等智能系统的开发与应用。
