The “Philosophy of Logic and Philosophical Logic” reading group (2017 spring) continues the previous events in 2016, and will start its first event on 6 March 2017. By this series of events we aim at better understanding the ideas of formal theories and methods of first-order logic and modal logic. In this term we read the book: Thinking about Mathematics: The Philosophy of Mathematics by Stewart Shapiro. From time to time we will also invite logicians in this area to give talks.
