The “Philosophy of Logic and Philosophical Logic” reading group will start its first event on 10 October 2016, and more are scheduled once per week. By this series of events we aim at better understanding the ideas of formal theories and methods of predicate logic and modal logic. The first book we read is: Thinking About Logic: An Introduction to the Philosophy of Logic by Stephen Read, and more will be filled in after this starting material is finished. From time to time we will also invite logicians in this area to give talks. This project is funded by 浙江大学”董氏文史哲研究奖励基金”.
